Cleaning 6800GT cooler

I want to know what's the best way to clean an EVGA 6800GT AGP from dust inside the nvidia default cooler.

The heatsink is under nalu picture and im too afraid to do something that might make more bad than good.

Thank you.

Block the fan with a finger, hold the vaccum hose close to the exposed heatsink and suck.

can of air dude....make short work of all that dust. Just give it short burst's so you don't go spitting moisure from it getting to cold.

Doesn't matter how short your bursts are, you're always going to get some moisture. I use compressed air only for cleaning my keyboard and other things that won't fry when wet.

Can of air is the way to go!

Don't worry about moisture... it'll evaporate by the time he gets the case closed and screwed-down! I've never lost a thing from moisture caused by a can of air... it evaporates sooo quickly.

Just blast it out with a can of air and don't look back!

what is the best way get the air from the can below the heatsink cover with nalu?
If you've got THAT BIG a problem with dust in the card, take the extra minute it requires to pull the card out of the MB and spray it clean to your hearts content.

It's not at all taboo to turn the computer off and pull the card out of the system to clean it... should take no more then an extra minute or two to do this.

most of the cans of air come with a very small tube that you can get under the heatsink and in between all of the fins on it to remove dust from there. I do it now and then on my card. Works great for the CPU heatsink and fan and everything in there. I agree with WolfShanze , I've been using that method to clean my PC's for the last few years , and I've never had a single problem. Learned it from my mom who's been doing it for years too , who's never had a single problem either! Stick that tube under Nalu , and blow er' dress off man. It'll work fine
