Cleaned up my front stage a bit

I used to have a light wood veneered subwoofer that was a bit of an eyesore up front (MFW-15) that had the amp crap out on it. Plus I had all of my guitar hero fake plastic instruments, zapper guns, mario cart steering wheels, controllers, ect all thrown in a basket under my screen. My wife said it was a bit "ghetto".

So I took a couple weekends and made some new stuff.
First up was a storage cabinet that slid under my screen. It's big enough to fit all my movies and games, controllers, chargers, and even the amp for my sub. Covered the top & sides in polyfil and a velour type material to cut down on noise and light reflection from the screen and speakers.

Also threw together a quick and dirty sealed cabinet and dropped a Dayton RS-15 into it. Have it powered with an older pro-audio amp I've had sitting around.

Looks a little tidier than it was before 🙂

Not terrible for $200 in wood & paint + $150 in subwooferage.

It's a 100" screen and a 9' ceiling. Room isn't really that big dimensionally...at around 14x16...less a little bit on one side because of how it was framed.

With my little DIY sealed 12" and 15" subs it's enough to seriously shake and overwhelm the room. Can't even imagine what thost 18" beasts you have would do.

😱
