very nice... :D

I was going to go all out and do the wiring through and under the mobo, and then I realized that there would be no way to hide the cables going from the RAID controller to the hard drives, so I'm just going to tidy it up, unfortunately.

Beautiful work though.

Fullmetal Chocobo--the 23 bay cased dual Xeon machine--has been decommissioned, with some of the parts being sold, and others (mobo, RAM, CPUs, case) are being kept for later use when I can run that machine again.

Chromatic Chocobo--the new gaming machine (see link in sig)--is complete sans the fan controller I need to get all of the wiring done.

Nice work. My P180 is such a mess. My PSU is so big (has a 140mm fan) that I can't organize in the lower chamber, and my watercooling and super long 8800 make it hard to tidy-up up top.

That must be a fun project.

Um...

BTW, checking your pics again, I think this would look perfect inside your case! ;)

i agree. It is very tempting. Then i could put that 900 on this 9800 i have for my htpc.....hmmmmmm im going to think about this.

nice job.

fyi i also put a yate loon the same place you did in front of the middle hard drive bay.

it was annoying because sometimes i heard a clicking noise from the filter. and i like the filter there.

after reading that if you have good exhaust that intake is unnecessary, i unplugged that yate loon. no difference in temps at all. maybe that hard drive went up a degree i dunno, cause my hard drive temps are so good i dont monitor them. speaking cpu wise. i also have a neat wiring job so airflow is not impeded.

four fans in my p180 including the one on my ninja.

alot of the time, i turn the yate loon that is in front of the upper hhd bay off. it makes everything ALOT quieter w/o sacrificing much temps. if i need to extra cooling i can crank it up no probelm.

Nice work twitchee. I'm curious what kind of heatsink you're using for the northbridge? Looks like one you modified to fit. I just installed a Thermalright HR-05-SLI and DAMN did it lower my chipset temps! I went from 52C with light use to 34C, and with no fan! I have a 7900GTO with the same Zalman on it, so I had to slightly move the HR-05-SLI to make it fit, but it was definitely worth the $25 I paid for it.

That HS is the stock hs from my old 3700. i cut out the middle for the graphics. I think the temps are at about 34 as you said. It works great when the fans are up, but it doesnt get much airflow. Considering that it works like a charm.

the duct tape covers up the vents on the back, forcing all the air to the psu has to come in over the harddrive. that is how the hard drives get airflow, from the psu.

I see said the blind man... Get a roll of aluminium duct tape from the depot or lowes. It can be had for about 10 bux or if you like PM me your postal address and I'll send you a few strips. A case that neat deserves it!
