Was getting unstable at load & high socket temps running primegrid or certain projects at load like asteroids. When I got my rig in I only had some dynex thermal paste D:. I took everything apart after work tonight & blew out all my case fans & the Zalman HSF to get the dust out. Used some velcro straps to control cable management & used this kit to get rid of dynex paste and reapply the artic silver 5 http://www.amazon.com/ArctiClean-3-5...s=artic+silver
Been running primegrid for a while and socket temps are 53-55c. I was hitting 68-72C. The Core Temps are really low at 45-46c (was going to 60-62C). Was causing instability. This is even with 8 CPU tasks going and my GPU paused. Before I was mainly doing 7 CPU tasks and getting the high temps. So far it's making a worlds difference! I think if I change the airflow around on my top fan to make it an exhaust instead of intake it will lower temps more. The Zalman is moving air towards the top of the case and the fan up there has been blowing inward instead of outward. Back of the case has been blowing out also. Thinking making it suck air in at the CPU and the CPU fan blowing out at the top with the top fan being an exhaust blowing heat from the CPU out instead. Artic Silver 5 so far has made a worlds difference.
