So if you look at my rig, you can see what I'm dealing with. I plan on doing a full format and reinstalling it all. I'm also upgrading from 1 gig to 3 gigs(2x1gb+2x512mb). I have an epox mobo that has two sets of color coded ram sets. So here are my questions:
1.Should I defrag b4 the format?
2.Ram, Do I do the matched pairs in the color'd sets, or alternate?
3.Should I dl all current drivers from the manu and put on disks b4 wipe or just update after?
4.The age old question of Nvidia firewall...to keep or not to keep?
When this is all said and done, I do intend on oc'ing my x2 a lil bit. I've seen various guides on self testing, but I'm truly just looking for minor oc'ing. Does anyone have any good benchmarks that I can just plug and play on stock cooling? or is it a must to go step by step? well that's all thanx for all your help.
