Hey there. I've been reading these forums for awhile, but this is my first post: That being said, I'm about to do a new build and am debating between the full retail version of Windows Vista home premium vs. the Vista Home Premium UPGRADE.
I have Windows XP, but I want to do a clean install of Vista onto my new harddrive. I've read here and elsewhere about the workaround with being able to use the upgrade CD to do a clean install by not putting in the CD key during the first install. My question is this: Has microsoft fixed this workaround so it won't work anymore? I have read that some people say that it still works while others say they tried to workaround and it didn't work anymore.
Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!
