Clean install on a IDE controller??

Hi:
I've got an Abit IDE controller and 2 drives hooked up to the card.
I wondered if I could just format and install my OS while the drives are still connected to the card or if I have to put the drives on my motherboards IDE controller again and then install Windows??

you can do a fresh install of your OS with your hdd on the controller but I would suggest you do it on the m/board ide controller to minimise potential problems.
if you use the m/board ide controller for install, don't forget to load the drivers for the controller card before you move the hdd on to it! 🙂

Ok, thanks.
I think I'll try to install with the drives on the controller card first then.
I just want to avoid having to change my setup everytime I have to do a reinstall.
