Should I do a clean install of my Windows Vista, Games, and Apps onto my new WD Raptor 150 gig or just do a image ? Does it really matter if my files are fragmented till I get a chance to defrag ? I really don't want to have to reinstall all my apps and games because that takes forever.

I am using Windows Vista 32 bit so this would be a great time to go 64 bit but I really don't feel like redoing everything inless its a huge advantage over 32 bit.

64 is not a huge advantage unless you have programs specificaly coded for it (a few games, some workstaion apps) or if you have 4+gigs of ram, otherwise stick with 32. If all you are doing is switching the main drive then an image should be fine (do the image, run a few things to make sure it works, if not then clean install). The whole imaging process should be pretty quick and since you are imaging/restoring onto a different drive there should be no chance of loosing data so go for it.

Thanks. I hope I enjoy my first raptor hard drive! I really hope Western digital releases a 300 gig and then after than a 600 gig raptor! Could you imagine how fast they would be ?
