Does anyone know the name of the classical song that is routinely played on movie trailers?? It is normally played during quick action cut-scenes on commercials for movies and videogames. Not knowing is driving me nuts!

"Example?"

I was dreading that question..... I don't know of any off hand. However, once you are aware of it, you realize that the song is used over and over and over again for trailers.

Well you've really narrowed things down... are you referring to the music used
in the trailers for Romeo Must Die, The Musketeer and about 40 other movies?

Here's the Musketeer Trailer featuring the epic choir thing
you might be referring to...

I think Soulflare has named a few. I know what you're talking about cuz they do play the hell out of it for trailers.

try Plunkett and MacLeane - Escape -- It's been used in a lot, and maybe in what you're thinking of too !

A few pieces commonly used in trailers and commercials:

Theme from Last of the Mohicans
Theme from Braveheart
Theme from Glory
Theme from Apollo 13

common element: All composed by James Horner
[edit]
Except for maybe Last of the Mohicans....I can't remember who did that one.

Score is faster than the Romeo Must Die one and The Musketeer
Don't think it's Plunkett and MacLeanne

I'm still looking

I think I might know what you're referring to, but can't name it offhand. Interesting question, I'll research a bit.

Yep, that's what I was thinking of, but it would have taken me a long time to find the name. :)

Another one they used for awhile in a lot of trailers was from Crimson Tide by Hans Zimmer

Thanks for the O Fortuna, I've been looking for that for a long time now.

Boy, wish i was around last night for you. That was the first song I had thought of too. It used to drive me nutz what song they used for epic battle scenes in trailers then it wouldnt show up on the soundtrack. It wasn't until like 4 years ago I was watching a July 4th fireworks display on TV and they did that song with the name at the bottom of the screen. :D

Wow, I can't believe that this thread is still going :Q It feels good to know that I'm not the only one out there that thinks this song pops-up everywhere.
