Hi all,

Just watched the movie Seven. What was the classical piece playing when he was researching in the library? I'm thinking it was by Rachmoninoff for some reason but I can't place it.

Thanks for any replies :)

Johann Sebastian Bach, from the Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D-major, BWV 1068: Air on the G String.

A free MP3 may be downloaded from this site.

My bad. That site used to permit downloads; perhaps they had copyright problems. While Bach is not copyrighted, many recordings are.

I found a public domain performance of Bach's "Air on the G String," and have put an MP3 of it on my server. You can download it by doing a "right click/save" here (this is a 3 Meg file, which should not take long if you have broadband.)

Hope I don't get hammered by guys looking for prOn about "G Strings." ;)

A damn good piece, ironically I asked for the name of it here long ago and I think it was WombatWoman who answered...
Also, Seven is a great movie...:D

Just curious, woodly6 -- were you able to download that Bach MP3 from my ftp? I've never put anything there for public use before, and would like to know whether it worked.

Thanx for the feedback, woodly6. :)

I am going to delete the file now, since it has served its purpose.
