Classical music - Recs please

Please recommend some good classical music. I just listened to Jason Becker play paganini and it was awesome. The classical guitar from crossroads the movie is good too. I'm a huge fan of guitar music but any classical will do.

Bach's lute pieces are also very interesting, and sounds especially good on the guitar. Many famous performers have played Bach's music, most famously being Segovia's interpretation of Bach's Chaconne.

If you liked that I'd recommend Vivaldi. Very similar in their... simple mindedness. That's the best stuff to start out with though, because it's instantly accessible. Vivaldi has many, many concertos but the most famous are The Four Seasons.

The other benefit to Vivaldi is that it's not as drawn out as lots of other music of that era. In that respect you might also consider Scarlatti keyboard sonatas.

Actually, here's a really good album: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000...1/103-9451313-7113410?%5Fencoding=UTF8

That has several Bach and Scarlatti pieces on it, plus a sonata by Bach's son C.P.E Bach. Great stuff.
