I know its part of the nutcracker...but I cant remember what. Its one of the really uptempo parts.

I know I am not being much help here, but I played string bass and me trying to spell out our part would help even less. Lots of HS/junio symphany orchestras play this though.
 
May I suggest going to the library, borrowing a CD recording of the Nutcracker, and listening to it? Otherwise, see if any of these titles sound familiar.
