pretty nice detailing.

Guys if you aren't into collectibles don't trash the thread.

They look well-done to me for what they are supposed to represent.

Who is trashing the thread? My comments are perfectly on topic. I just don't get the concept of creating models of a wreck of a car. They look horrible.

i get it, but i don't know why you would spend money on it if you didn't build it. nice gimmick, but i'd rather build a dilapidated car model by myself.

lol. Maybe they are at some level.........sellable? But, $45+?? Umm no. These kits are what?????$10 or so? They aren't very detailed out of the box. It takes a lot of extra effort to detail them, compared to just slapping it together. They are put together correctly, I guess you could say. But, the "wrecked" modification isn't anything special. It's about as good as the quality I did when I was 12 years old putting one together. I have seen people take these types of model and really get detailed with them, and not sell them for those kind of prices.

Apparently your time isn't worth much.

What would be the price YOU would buy these at?

I wouldn't buy these. They're cheap plastic model kits put together in a mediocre fashion at best. What would you pay for a chinese plastic toy, hand painted by some guy you don't know? Probably not much, or at all either.

I wouldn't either. Even if they were free I wouldn't take them.

I can appreciate what he's attempting to do, but doing stressed stuff like that is kinda pointless if it's not in a diorama IMO, like below... (first one of a junker I could find)

That said, I always prefer the military ones and use to do some 1/35th scale dioramas myself. Again, not my pic (I haven't done any models in 15+ years) but there's a lot of work to make the stuff look used and abused.
