I'm thinking of upgrading my classic athlon 500. I've seen thunderbird slot As on the web. I know the thunderbirds are better than the classic athlons. Are there any compatibility issues out there. I have an FIC SD11 (AMD750) motherboard. Whats the best upgrade path, classic or thunderbird. Thanks.
 
no, t-birds work flawlessley with the amd-750. however slot-a t-birds are a bit more expencve than the socket ones and only go up to 1ghz i belive. you might be beter of in geting a new duron/t-bird and one of the new socket-a motherboards.
