Classic Rumsfeld line

?Reports that say something hasn?t happened are interesting to me, because as we know, there are known unknowns; there are things we know we know,? Rumsfeld told the briefing. ?We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns ? the ones we don?t know we don?t know.?

i need to order some shirts with that going on endlessly & then give them as christmas presents to my grandparents.

Sounds like a typical Rumsfeld "ask a stupid question..." response to me.

Unfortunately, it was just another unsolicited remark by that incoherent fool.

Hey cut him some slack, he is getting up there in age!

I like Rumsfeld, at least he's entertaining to watch. Anyone that's not PC in government nowadays deserves some kind of kudos!

he later apologised said he was drunk when he said it!.remember before the gulf war all the press used to pester him with questions,it was funny
question:sir, are you going to use M.O.A.B."
rumsfeld(exasperated):"i doont know if were going to use MOAB"

A charismatic speaker is not necessarily a good leader and a good leader is not necessarily a charismatic speaker. It's easy to judge a person on how well they speak but some of the brightest people stuttered. I place no importance on how well a person speaks.

Even if he is starting to suffer from Dementia

it makes sense, he just didn't have very good wording. it got redundant, but that was it. I understood it on the first go.

Since you're stating that as fact, I trust you can provide a transcript of the news briefing where it was said. Linky?

Well ol' Rumy is 0 for 2 there...neither a charismatic speaker nor a good leader.
