A biology class lesson in Gunnison, Utah involving the dissection of a live dog has outraged some parents and students, according to a report.

"I thought that it would be just really a good experience if they could see the digestive system in the living animal," Biology teacher Doug Bierregaard said.

Well, they did send a notice out to the parents. Its not like this was a total suprise. Still, that is pretty crazy.

how the fvck did he get that far without the school catching on?

What's that supposed to mean? The school knew full well what was going on. That's why they sent flyers explaining what was going to happen to parents beforehand. The principal supported it then and he supports it now. As do I.

Why didn't any students step up? I would have at least prevented it from happening.

I thought vivisection went out with unit 731? (Japanese testing on live Chinese)

The last I've heard of it was with Unit 731, and also Hitler's scientists.

It was gonna be euthanized anyway, so I have no objections.

Should we do this to people on Death Row after they're through with appeals?

How about people that are comatose, where the family is going to take them off life support?

agreed. And it was not vivisection - look it up. The dog was sedated. The dog was going to be euthanized anyway, so why not learn something in the process?
