I've got an older model Clarion car stereo, and my battery recently died. After replacing it, all the buttons on my stereo will no longer work, the only exception is the volume knob. I can insert a disc or USB drive and it will play just fine, but still nothing but the volume knob will work. I have done the reset as instructed in the manual, but still no change at all, does anyone have any experience with this? The model is a CZ-302. Thanks! :)

I'd try disconnecting the battery again, and when pressing the reset button on it, hold it in for at least 5 seconds.

Does it have a removable faceplate? If so, did you in any way disturb that recently, maybe the contacts to the unit are bent or fouled?

One other thing to try is holding in the volume knob for several seconds to see if a features menu pops up... not sure if this applies to your model or not.

If you think it's possible that it went into an undocumented anti-theft lockout mode, you might contact Clarion or ask in a car stereo oriented web forum.
