Clarinex for soar throat?

That's what the doctor gave me yesterday cause I have a soar throat and I keep coughing.

Thanks for the reminder. I keep forgetting to buy cough drops. The reason why I went to the doctor is because i feel like the flem is building up and no matter how much i cough it's not going away.

 

So take an expectorant...you don't need to go to a doctor for excess mucus in your throat. Just take Mucinex.

WTF? Why do insurance companies think Claritin is equal to all prescription allergy medications?

My doctor prescribed Clarinex to me as well for sinus problems, but the insurance wouldn't cover it and paying cash for it ... $80 for a months supply. Ew.

Get some cough drops with zinc in them, preferably with benzocaine as well for your sore throat. If you're coughing up stuff what color is it? Do NOT take anything with dextromethorphan in it if you're coughing up anything like mucous or whatever.

Not everyone with a cough has physical matter come up with it. If this is the case then he SHOULD take dextromethorphan as it will get rid of the annoying cough without keeping all the junk in his lungs which could lead to bronchitis or pneumonia
