This question is not whether there should or should not be federal funding for stem cell research and is directed at anyone who is uniformly opposed to stem cell research for whatever reason.
If you are against utilizing extra in vitro-fertilized eggs for stem cell research, are you also against in vitro fertilization itself since it will invariably yield destroyed eggs as well?
Disclaimer: Since semantics are obviously very important here, this question is not designed to indirectly flame or incite the so-called "religious-right", neoconservatives, or otherwise fundamentalist elements on these forums. I'm just curious.
