CLAP2 and AGP 4X

From what I've read there doesn't seem to be too much of a difference between 2x and 4x, but I'm wondering why I can't seem to get my CLAP2 to run in 4X mode.

I've got the ASUS P3V4X and the bios is set for 4X but Sisoft Sandra reports me running at 2X.

Any ideas here?

Go over to the Unofficial GeForce guide and apply the reg hack for 4x AGP. Generally, if you've applied the VIA AGP mini-driver correctly, and it still runs at 2x AGP, your motherboard may be defaulting to the lower setting because the signal is too degraded at 4x. In this scenario, forcing it to run at 4x may make things unstable.
