I'm off to take a shower, and I plan on eating this afterwards.
I don't particularily want to eat it plain straight, please suggest stuff to add to it, and stuff to eat with it.

thanks ;)

Sometimes simplicity is best. I would add oyster crackers and freshly ground black pepper.

Add some cilantro. And hollow out a big, round loaf of sourdough bread and use that as your "bowl" for the chowdah'.

NightflyerGTI hit it on the head: the clam is chewy
it's good for the nondiscriminating chowdah eater, but if you are a chowdah expert, pass on it.

Quizno's had the best clam chowdah but they decided to change (and improve) the recipe.

Personal preference is to put those big gourmet croutons on top with some fresh cracked black pepper. Yummmmmmmmmm :D
