Claiming a study space

So Im sitting in the library trying to read up for my next class, I've been at my table alone for 2 hours which I chose because it's next to an outlet for my laptop. All of a sudden a guy comes and puts his jacket on a chair across from me. Then he sets his laptop down, and brings his friend. Now I don't mind if you're going to study, but then they start talking and rambling incomprehensibly about god knows what.

So is it me, or shouldn't they have asked if it was ok to sit at "my" table? I realize Im in a library, so I don't own anything, but it would have been nice if they asked to sit down and tried to keep quiet.

I guess 6 if you used all sides although one side has a trashcan next to it. I don't really care about anyone joining the table, Im more bothered with the talking and laughing.

Be honest and polite. Tell them you find it hard to concentrate, and it would help you out a lot if they could move or at least keep it down. If they refuse to do either, find another spot, get sound isolating/canceling headphones, or speak to someone in charge (If it's really excessive).

bonus points if you use the acronyms.

+10 if you shank 3 and call in a radar
+10 if you shank 5 and call in an air raid
+10 if you shank 7 and call in a copter

They broke etiquette by sitting at an occupied table (even if it had unoccupied places to sit) - unless the library was very full (which it can be, with mid-terms coming up).

I'd be all over them asking them to cut it out if they were being chatty bitches, though. If not, look for a different table.

Unless - oh damn - your enemies are sending them to follow you and mess up your school career! Do you have powerful enemies?

If you don't have the balls to tell them to stfu, give them the finger under the table along with a dirty look. It's what I do and I'm satisfied;).

Well it was hours ago, and I had a class to attend, now Im back and they aren't here anymore. Im guessing they sat down to "claim" an outlet since they went right for it as soon as I unplugged my laptop. I would have told them to STFU, but I did feel a little bad about doing that because English was obviously not their first language.
