CL2 vs. CL3 advice needed! Thanks.

Hi!

How performance I will lose if I use Corsair XMS CL3 DDR PC3200 (1,5gb 2x 512mb and 2x 256mb) instead of Corsair XMS CL2 DDR PC3200?

My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9
CPU is (will be 😉 ) Opteron 175 or 180

I made little mistake when buying the memory...

Assuming the CL2 stuff is 2 sticks (1T), the CL3 with 2T will obviously be a fair bit slower, but you may or may not notice it, depending on what you do (even if you do notice it, i doubt there will be too much to notice). If you can sell the sticks you have, and get a 2x1gb kit, all the better.

There will be a performance loss, but it's still likely to be less than 5% in most situtations.
