cl2 vs cl2.5 memory (pc2100)

I'm confused. Everything I read seems to indicate that cl2 should be faster than cl2.5. So newegg has the pny pc2100 cl2 memory at 130 (512mb). And some guy posted a comment that with luck he could overlock it to cl2.5. What gives. Isn't the cl2 memory almost as as fast as pc2700 at cl2.5 ? Don't know about ddr but with sdram pny always been fairly reliable for me... (not sure who's chips they use)

With DDR the cl is just one ram setting. There is the 1T or 2T, and like 3 others. Most ram should be able to run high ram settings with good ram. The basic/no name stuff will not.

Get good ram and set your ram settings as low as they will go, then if you have problems back them off one at a time.

Hum. Thanks for the link -- the artcles seems to say the infineon memory performs well which is what the pny stuff is suppose to be so maybe it'll be ok.
