Ok, I am looking to buy 256 megs of RAM for my pc. My mobo is an Asus A7V133. I went to crucial and it gives me the option to but a CL2 or CL3 256 mb stick of RAM. Whats the difference? CL= CAS Latency right? On that page at crucial.com it also says "With the A7V series motherboards CAS Latency 2 modules must be manually set in the BIOS." What does that mean? set what? where do I look in my BIOS?

Should I buy CL2 or CL3?

thanks

BZeto, the lower the CL (CAS Latency) of your DRAM, the better.

You can enter your BIOS by pressing the Delete key usually. However your board may require a different key, possibly F2. But once you enter the BIOS, you should be able to find a setting that lets you change the CL of your RAM. You should keep your RAM's CL at 2 or 2.5, it depends on what type of module you're using.

Ok, thanks everyone... I know how to get into my BIOS and everything, I was just wondering where in my bios to look to change that CL setting. I looked and I found a way to change the CT or something... I'll probably just order the CL2 RAM.
