CL geforce2 & win98SE & win2K pro! help!

i have a dual boot system (win2k pro & win98SE).

i have the CL geforce2 working w/win2k -- i have some lockups, but i attribute that to heat.

however, when i try and install the geforce2 onto win98se, it wont reboot to win98se after i install the drivers. the screen just hangs there with a single blinking cursor.

can you or anyone else help me out here?

Do you have an oem CL2, those are nvidia references boards and will only work with the detonator2 drivers.

yes i have the OEM version of the CLgeforce2...

the drivers i'm using are the reference drivers from nvidia...

argh....

Would there be a patch for Win98se that may help for this particular problem? I'm not too familiar with Win98se.

have you flashed the card ? I had probs with se until I flashed, if you know what I mean ! Then I decided to dump se and now use only w2kpro and have no probs in that department either.

What happens if you go in SAFE MODE?
Do you see anything weird?

Make sure you wait long enough, at least a couple minutes with 98. I've been fooled into reinstalling two or three times because of the black blinking cursor, only to find out that I just needed to wait a little longer and it booted fine. I guess it just had some personal issues to work out and needed some quiet time away from counterstrike and quake3.
