I like the Historic Eras, which means Marathon research times with regular production which allows for huge wars.

Quick moves/Quick combat makes my games 100x more playable late game even on huge.

If you play true start locations on huge/marathon a number of wars actually make a lot of sense. I find it pretty interesting.

I remember a guy playing an all-AI (IIRC) on CivII or III recently and it ended up being a stalemate between 3 civs. No Civ could churn out units faster than the other two. I recall it making the news.

I dig all AI only fights, Maybe is was the fascination back in the early 80's with life generators and watching how random evolution events accured.

I cant remember any of the games I used to set AI fight only other then Homeworld 2, But I do also like deliding the goliaths in Borderlands 2 and watch the AI's killing each other.
They need to make a colosseum map in BL2 that you can set up.

Maybe I am just an imp in the bleachers.

Now I am going to have to look this one up.

I played a huge TSL earth map with that historic Era mod...omfg. I played Rome on King difficulty, the battle for southern Europe and North Africa was intense!

10/10 Would rape and pillage the Greeks again
