im going to install a body kit for a 94 civic. The only thing, ive never installed one before. :p its for a friends car. does anyone know where i can look up on the net how to install one of these things. Or even where i could find out how to remove the stock parts. Myself, i hate seeing hondas riced out. they are gay. but i told him i would try to put it on for him. Thanks for any help. BTW, the body kit he got is a blitz kit.

Go to your local library and look at the manuals they have. it should tell you how to take off the parts. It's mostly screws and a few 10mm bolts, as far as the front and rear bumper are.

Take a blow torch to it and then tell him it melted in the rain. :)

But seriously it's the same as installing a stock bumper cover. Find out in a manual where all the bolts and clips are, unbolt/unclip stock bumper, reattatch the kit.......

Wouldn't it need to be painted first? Have the shop mount it when they paint it.

Or don't paint it, I guess thats the in thing these days.

LOL seriously though, why would your "friend" ask you to do something like this if you've never done it before?

3M taping your sideskirts isn't ghetto. Most people I know use double sided tape so you can easily take them off if you go to the track and then just reattatch them later.

Just don't forget to paint it. Don't need another bondo bumper boy driving around.

it should be pretty easy to remove. i've removed my bumper and helped with a friend's '91 acura. my bumper was a biznatch (2 hours) to remove but the acura took only 30 minutes or so. i've never done a civic but there should be 1-3 bolts in the fender (10mm) and ~6 under the hood.

you'll need to screw in the side skirts on each end (on the superior and inferior ends) and maybe use 3m double sided tape on the parts under the door if you don't want to epoxy (the cushy kind, not the scotch tape kind). that's the best advice i can give without looking at the kit not on a car.

all I gotta say is use a lot of type-R stickers and NoS ones to attach it. I've seen a lot of civic's with those.
