BLARG!!

My friend left me with his copy of civ3 b/c he's in some soccer tournament and won't be able to play...and i've been DYING to play. But guess what? HE FORGOT THE DAMN MANUAL!! AHHHHHH!!!

Anyways...it's all flying along nice and happy...then...i hit the middle ages. Get feudalism. And then...I can't upgrade my old spearmen! That bothered me...buut, maybe it's like civ2 says I, so I wait for Leonardo's Workshop. And then...Leonardo's Workshop rolls by...and STILL no upgrades...so now im getting annoyed...b/c i want my archers to become longbowmen...and pikemen are just soo much l33t-er than spearmen...

please help me :(

for those with the game, the pdf manual is on the cd. if you don't have the game and want to browse the manual for the heck of it. go download and knock yourselves out. :p

Well first you need a barracks in the city, then go to the city screen, then look for the little unit icons at the bottom of the screen, right click on the unit to bring up the menu and the option to upgrade will be there, simple!

i know on my cd, theres a copy of the manual in .pdf format. so if you're stuck without a manual, explore the contents of the cd and you might find one
