I got the Civ 4 demo, and it seems to crash quite frequently. I dont know if it's my PC, a buggy demo or what. I just cant figure any trigger for it, i'll be playing away and then it just drops to error message saying Civ4 has encountered an error and must close. Anyone else find the demo crashes? is the full game doing the same?
fwiw, I do seem to be getting other games crashing. Quake 4 fell over at i guess on average hourly intervals, but that seemed to stop after updating video (7800gtx) and sound drivers (audigy, now using the beta doom3 ones). DOD:S also quits occasionally. C&C Zero Hour, FEAR and Serious Sam 2 were fine.
specs in sig, can assume using latest drivers, directx and winupdate is running. I thought about trying memtest but dont have a floppy drive, any blank cd's and couldnt get it going from some bootable DVD "ISO" i tried.
