TO bad there is NO FRIES on east coast. I wish I could get it for that cheap. I'm going to be looking for a used version for 38 dollars shipped :).

That's cheap. I've already got 18 hours out of it expect about 700 more.. entertainment for 7.5 cents an hour... compare that to a movie.:p:D

Good deal. I will return the non-collectors version I bought back to Circuit City and buy this instead!

FYI, the difference between ground shipping and 2nd day shipping from Outpost was only $0.70 for me!

Does Sid Miers (sp?) have anything to do with this version of Civ? I absolutely loved Civ (I) and liked Civ2 (mostly a prettied up version of the original Civ) but Civ 3 didn't interest me at all.

I will not be buying this.

Civ2 was my favorite, civ 3 was ok.
The problem with civ for me has always been the time you have to invest just in a single game. 3-5 hours is normal, and on the really big maps forget it. The first time I sat down with civ2 and civ3, i spent the whole day playing it and the time flew bye bye.

No thanks, even if it is the best civ yet from what I hear.

Just give in nuonce. Make sure you have a few weeks with nothing to do - this game is supposed to be incredible.

As for Sid, check out interviews on /. w/ him and the dev team.

For me, ground was 677 and 2day was 721.

Even with that, it's still cheaper than the base price of anyone else. Maybe not HOT anymore, but if you're getting the game anyway it's the best deal.

I played Civ3 on a P4 2.0 GHZ processor. A 2.64 GHZ x2 should speed up the times by quite a big :). Can't wait to spend endless nights contemplating my next move. Just need someone who hates CIv IV to sell it to me at reduced prices :).

LOL They even got a clock and alarm built into the game now for that very problem. You know you can set eating and sleeping alarms so you don't miss them LOL:D

Uh, have a kid or two and also have your wife not work so she can raise your children instead of some Daycare Momma Wannabe. Then we'll see how much money you have.
