This is why nobody sheds a tear when someone punches or runs down a meter maid. Just another dishonest revenue stream to pay for more useless civil servants.

City officials did not believe Ben Baruch until they saw the video, taken by a security camera across the street. They have since rescinded the fine and the towing charges.

Nice one, thought it was also gonna be a major city in the US... didn't figure it'd be Tel Aviv.

If she was parked there and the sign had been dated this would be awesome. Its still pretty awesome just a little less so because the date wasnt there so she couldnt know for sure. But still

Reminds me of when the city of Baltimore was booting the cars of a different department for illegal parking in a giant circle of uselessness. That sure taught Baltimore a lesson.

The transit department was booting Baltimore housing department cars, lol.

But it's not clear whether the sign said when this would happen, or if it was still there when Hila Ben Baruch parked her car. Apparently it didn't or wasn't, because the city has since apologized and admitted this was a case of "incompetence.".

Kinda a key point to whether this whole situation is relevant or not. I'm surprised no one knows this info, and the city just went ahead and admitted guilt. Usually it goes the other way until someone can prove the city is at fault.

LOL wow, such incompetence. It also makes you wonder if cities could start doing this just to get extra revenue. Temporary turn a certain parking into handicap or fire zone then tow all the cars. Fire zones would make decent money as they're usually much bigger. They could just put signs on random buildings "Fire Zone: No parking within 50 feet of building - $500 fine" Quick way to get lot of money from a bunch of Walmart shoppers at once.

Also that is one cool toe truck. Seems frighteningly too efficient. They must do that a lot there. :p
