I played the beta and thought it was the greatest MMOG experience I have ever had. I finally bought the retail version a few days ago. (I learned long ago to avoid at all costs anything remotely resembling a mmog launch regardless of what you may hear about bugs/stability)

Verdict : Best Ever (for PvE)

I'm sure that when City of Villains comes out and PvP is introduced then nothing will even come close to touching this game.
 
I got bored at level 14. I keep trying to go back but.... ugh. The battles are very exciting for an mmorpg, they just never change.
 
EQ sucks unless you have all the free time in the world.

CoH is great because it doesn't require the catassing that most MMOG's require. Well, I guess it does, but it's not in nearly the same form in that you aren't required to sit there and twiddle your thumbs waiting on your turn to take over the camp or spawn. Forget that crap. I want to spend my very rare free time PLAYING and not sitting there waiting on something.

BTW, monthly fee is the now standard $14.95.

!!!! EQ was great, but kinda sucks now. Sony also doesn't even try to hide the fact that they're giving it to you from behind, sans lube, without even a courtesy reacharound 🙁

Well, if I had access... Blizzard has never let me down. Even to this day I find a weird draw towards Diablo 2. That game is so simple yet fun for some reason.

Same! I've got D2+LoD installed all the time on my machine. Of course I only play with some of my buddies on TCP/IP.
 
I still dust off d2 & play once in a while, but SC is my ageless addiction. After all these years, it's still my favorite game by a long shot.
 
The last time I played D2 with any seriousness was for the 1.10 patch and ladder reset. But then, as usual with D2, I finally got bored and ended up quitting. I'm sure that either the ladder has been reset again or my Bnet account is wiped.

You know, I loved Starcraft also and haven't played it in so long. I may dust that sucker off once I get tired of CoH. As much as I love the game I'm sure it will get old pretty fast just like every other MMOG I've ever played... and that list pretty much encompasses every mmog ever made. 😛
 
yeah my brother and his friend are gonna get back into d2, then we're all gonna play on TCP/IP. i never got into EQ. 1) i don't like monthly fees 2) if i can't figure out how to get out of town after an hour of trying, it definitely isn't worth my time.
