City of Cerritos going all Wireless

I just saw this on cnn, too.. pretty cool. I live near Carmenita and South.. hope there's a decent signal in that area!

I wonder what kind of speeds it's going to have, especially with all the people that live in the city..

Wish it was my city doin this...

Anyone know how long before most major cities do this? Cerritos never had DSL or high speed cable internet. Now the whole city will be all wireless..

So how much per year is this actually costing the city?

EDIT: and is this an open wireless network, or do city residents have to subcribe to it (presumably at the $35/month rate the city pays)?
