At work, we recently set up a Citrix Metaframe XP server. It's running on Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Terminal Services installed. We want to be able to give users the ability to have a remote desktop session on the Citrix machine, and for the most part, this seems to be working fine. However,
we have run into a bit of a problem. In our login script, we map the user's home directory to a share on a machine running Samba. This works perfectly on our normal Windows machines. It also seems to work fine for the first user that logs into the Citrix machine. However, after that, no one is able to
map their network drive. This seems to be due to the normal limitation in Windows that you can only map a drive on a particular server with one username at a time from any Windows box. However, I had kind of assumed that somehow this problem would be overcome with Citrix or Terminal Services. I suppose we could create a
lot of DNS/Netbios aliases for the Samba server and have every user connect to a different one, but that seems like a really stupid solution to me. Does anybody know of a solution to this problem? I'd be very grateful for any help.
