They're offering Cities XL 2011 on Steam for 40 bucks but no reviews yet. Not sure what they improved from the original yet, but I do remember them working on mass transit.

Looks like eye candy with no depth.

I'm trying to find some user opinions out there too...looks pretty difficult. One critic review on metacritic and it's all in Spanish with a 7/10 rating.

There are no above-ground metro stations AND there are no passengers or freight trains in CXL 2011. Looks like subways only?

Seems like a polished 2009 CXL.

first one was fuked by the "people will pay us monthly to finish it" concept. With that gone, the next must be better unless they are willing to have people totally write off any chance of buying from the studio again.

If it works anything like the Monte Cristo (sp?) version did then you can't mod it.

I don't want to hijack, but anyone know if the matured version of Sim City Societies is any good? I saw a boxed set for it today along with SC4/Rush Hour and it had a Societies expansion pack called paradise something or other that actually looked pretty neat.
