Citibank Visa card users: is there a currency conversion fee?

Say for instance I am in the US & I use my VisaCitibank Creditcard to order something online from a UK website where an item is listed in UK pounds sterling.

Obviously when my next CC statement arrrives my bill not show a charge in UK pounds but will show the dollar converted amount.

Does VISA Citibank slap on a surchange for this scenario - buying overseas?

I regularly buy things of a UK site and have it shipped to the US, and it shows both the pounds and the dollars.
