I'm pretty certain it means your card was converted to the World card. Online, does your old card say anything about it being converted? Or does it show up exactly like the World card?

never received the offer, and I don't use my citi dividened anymore unless the store doesn't accept amex. But I just went to the citi site and looks like I actually have $12 credited, so I'll have to use that, no sense in giving them my money :p
One nice thing about the citi website is that I can request a credit line increase easily and they've never done a hard pull on my credit report. Then my amex card will usually follow with an auto increase later.

Thanks. I would have never seen this if someone hadn't reminded me to check those 'offers.' I don't know if I'll be going to any of those to get something in the next 3 months, but I never know.

AFAIK you need at least $50 to get them to send you a check for it.

For those of you who use this as your primary/only credit card, these new world cards may hurt your credit rating. it seems that sometimes with the "no spending limit" cards they report whatever your balance was that month as your credit limit, so the credit agencies see it the same as being maxed out.

I didn't want to risk it so I declined the change. no real difference anyway.

When I received this new "World" card, I received a new card with a new account number. The old account number was "closed" by Citi. Again, all of this done without input from me.

Did Citi effectively close the old account and open a new for me? Wouldn't this affect my credit score as if I had closed the account myself?
