I'm a student who sometimes has to do work with a lot of citations. At first I did them by hand, but doing more than 25-30 of them gets old pretty quickly. I'm looking for a program that can read citation info directly off a PDF. I've found Zotero, which is awesome; it can read info off of PubMed reasonably well. But, I use a lot of articles not on PubMed (usually psychology articles), so I was wondering if any programs can read bibliographic info off PDFs. Any program that's good as far as reading info off various databases would also be appreciated.
Also, do any citation editors convert journal titles from the shortened PubMed format to the entire journal title? (e.g., "Journal of Psychopathology" is cited as "J Psychopath" in some medical databases, and I was wondering if there was another way to fix this in citations other than simply doing find->replace in Word).
All help is appreciated.
