ok, S 5/1 means serial connection on the blade in slot 5, port 1 of that blade.

what does S 5/1/3 mean?
 
Slot 5, blade 1, port #3. (There's a quad-port serial blade available for 7500 routers, each slot has a card which can take two blades).
