I have a 192.168.1.0/24 network behing a Cisco PIX 501 with the remote-access enabled and split tunneling enabled. This is the main office network
I have another network (192.168.2.0/24) also behind a Cisco PIX 501 at a remote location. When I configure this router to connect to the main office router in client mode, everything works fine. The policy is successfully downloaded and hosts behind the remote location router can access the main office hosts (but not vice versa).
When I switch to network-extension mode the connection is still made, but hosts on the remote network cannot see hosts on the main office network. Do I need to configure the main office router to recognize 192.168.2.0/24 as addresses that should be routed through the tunnel? I'm not sure exactly how to do this.
Also, I can use a Windows XP box running Cisco VPN Client 4.8 to conect to the main office network. The VPN adapter gets the proper address and settings, but the remote client can't see the hosts at the main office.
I would really appreciate some insight or even a nudge in the right direction. I've read through most of the documentation, but everything I've tried thus far hasn't worked.
