Does anyone have the power POE power requirements for the above series of phones. I have searched the Cisco website and been through the everything I can find about these phones.

Could anyone confirm the speed of the ethernet link on these phones.

I need the above information to specify the switch that will be used to power and connect these phones.

Thanks in advance.

Rob.

There is an SPA500 that'll do gigabit (the one with the colored screen), the rest are 10/100.
good call, didn't see that G on the end of the SPA525. PC port is still 10/100, so whats the point? :)

Thanks for the link with the power consumption.

Some of switches in the SMB range will do 7.5W for all ports or 15.4 W for 1/2 the ports.

From the figures given it should be safe to use a switch that can do 7.5W per port. As the one that will only do 7.5W per port is FE rather than GigE this should make it cheaper.

There is a GigE switch that does 15.4 watts for all ports but this is much more expensive. For the jobs I have in mind GigE would make no difference so its just wasted.

The strange thing is that the POE power use for the phones does not appear on the specs for the phones, or in the product guide. I have raised a query with Cisco, and the guy who took the call was also very surprised that the POE details were not in the phones specs. First question he asked "have you checked the specs on the Cisco site".

Thanks again for the quick response. Still waiting for an answer from Cisco.
