cisco 806 problems (ping and dns resolution)

I have my Cisco 806 connected to my linksys... i'm haven't had the time to deploy the unit where it will replace my linksys dsl router.

I am having a slight problem though... for some reason I can't ping or traceroute or anything from the router itself. This is when I telnet from my laptop (192.168.1.109) to the router. For some reason, I am able to do this when I use the system that has the console connection to the router.

Ethernet 1 is connected to one of the switch ports on the DSL router... and Ethernet 0 is empty. Ethernet 1 has an ip address of 192.168.1.120, the linksys, or course, 192.168.1.1.

I've assigned the linksys router as the gateway and assigned the DNS servers that pacbell gave me as the dns servers.

Any idea's what's wrong here? I should be able to ping and have the router look to the paacbell dns servers right?

man sometimes you people are useless... ;p

anyways, I resolved the problem.

since I have a default gateway... I had to disable routing... once I did this things worked great.
