Hey, I got an Cisco 675 but it didnt come with an ethernet cable. In the manual, I noticed that the cat5 cable shown has a cylinder thing on one end. Is this a must have or with a 'normal' ethernet cable work fine?
Thanks Bryan
Thanks!! A crossover only if I use the modem in bridging mode, right? If I connect my modem to a hub or swith, I can use a 'regual' cat5 cable if I plug it into the unlink port?
Bryan
I use to have a cisco 375. The cylinder thingy is EMI filter. Not really necessary. You only need a crossover cable if you connect the 375 directly to your ethernet card. It is not necessary if you connect it to a hub or switch.
