Cisco 3640 Router Flash Problem

Hi hope someone can help.

The Ios(c3640.js.mz.120-7.XK2) on the Router I'm working on got corrupted, when I attempt to reinstall the Ios via the console cable in Romm mode,I get the message that my flash is the small for the size of the image, which is definitaly not the case.

Why is this happening and how do I get an Ios onto the Router.😕

You probably still have your corrupt copy of the IOS on the flash. To update it, you first need to delete the corrupt copy, pack the flash, then get the flash.

The typical way to do this is via a TFTP download, not try to send the flash via the console cable. It's a lot easier and a whole lot faster.
