Iam trying to reload the IOS for a cisco router my company gave me to use for my CCNA lab but i dont have a the IOS

Is there anywhere i can download this from? I dont have any type of support from cisco so i cant login into the support web site

the main reason why i want to reload the IOS is because it never seems to save the startup-config file

I can do basic changes like label the host name or apply ip addrss to the interface then i do a

copy running-config startup-config

power off/ power on

and it wants me to configure it again. IT doesnt seem to be saving it to the nvram

check your config register. should be 2102.

The config file is saved, it's just not using it. configuration register controls this behavior.

what is your config register set to? a show version command will display it...

edit: spider-man is too fast 🙁

the config-register should have been covered in the password recovery procedure.
