If some women have been brainwashed in to believing that circumcised penises are more attractive, then they can just damn well get over it. If some boys get teased in the locker room (which really shouldn't be happening with the same frequency nowadays that it did twenty years ago), big fvcking deal. Kids get teased all the time at that age. If it's not their foreskin, it'll be something else. They'll learn to cope with it just fine.
How does personal preference equate to brainwashing?
If a girl doesn't find a uncircumcised penis attractive then she MUST be brainwashed by the ignorant american media machine, right?

well when you dont have definitive reason for a preference, your default preference is usually the most dominant opinion you've been exposed to.

Nope.
In my country, almost all the people who are circumscised (very small minority) are circumscised for religious reasons (jewish custom) or because they work in the porn industry.

What brainwashing? "Ewww, foreskin looks yucky!" Hearing that sort of crap for years, along with having no experience with an uncircumcised male (because people from my generation are almost exclusively cut) will do that to a person. Where do you think it comes from? Completely from personal experience with no societal influence whatsoever?

The truth of the matter is that whether cut or uncut, the male genitalia just isn't the most beautiful sight in the world.

Oh get over yourself. What is there to be wrong about? How can someone be wrong about personal preference? Get a clue son.
the polls do not account for whether or not their preference is truly based on personal experience and not societal programming. Societal programming(aka cultural influence, brainwashing whateveryou'd like to call it) is very strong especially in girls you must account for this variable.

I guess we'll jsut see if you are right about this because in a million years from now our penises should evolve to not have foreskin because women prefer mates without it.

If yes, how was the experience?

One of my friends is about to undergo one and he is a bit nervous.

its not so bad.....your dong swells up alot though!, i ended up walking round the house butt naked when there was no one in its too painful to wear cloths. it was really wierd coming out of the operation, i was still numb down there and i was like HOLY MVTHERFVCKING HELL MY WANGS GONE!! but it wasnt it was still there....coverd in blood and swollen like a balloon.

the swelling went, and so did the pain, the next problem was the soluble stitches which to me didnt seem soluble....i kept catching them all the time and the bleeding would start all over again

but once all thats gone, and the stitches have gone and the bloods gone etc......sex is flipping fantastic

The definitive reason is from personal experience, as explained in my last post. Also, that bit about a default preference being akin to the most dominant opinion is false.
A girl could be told her whole life that foreskin is evil, but when she experiences it and likes it then the dominant opinion holds no weight.

The female genetalia isn't any more beautiful sight than a male set. It's a large grouping of flappy skin covering up a fleshy hole, not exactly the most pleasant thing in the world. It's not called an axe wound for no reason whatsoever.
A personal preference is just that, personal. All my gf's didn't like uncut men strictly from personal experience. All my friends gf's don't like uncut men from their personal experiences either. Of course there are other factors involved, but the fact remains that they didn't like foreskin

you just agreed with my point. When you DONT have a definitive reason for a preference(aka personal experience) then your default preference is the dominant opinion you have been exposed to. Why do you think marketing budgets are enormous? People who have had no prior expereince with a product/concept/idea or given one through marketing!

where did you get that idea from? were you born with it? nope. You learned it through what? most likely repetition of hearing it. Is it possible that could have biased your opinion on the beauty factor of a the female genitalia? Maybe, maybe not. However you forever have that "axe wound" concept in your head and your brain automatically associates the two!

This "women don't like uncircumcised men" argument is such bull sh!t. How many woman do you know that have broken up with a guy or something due to his lack of circumcision? I know 0. Will women think it's different? Probably if they've been with a lot of circumcised men, but it's hardly some kind of relationship killer, unless you meet women by waving your dick at them and seeing if they respond by sleeping with you.

I have heard women say that they preferred their men circumsized. I've never heard it vice versa though. *shrug*

I figure if you are hung like a mule, it doesn't matter to much.

A is false but does not directly imply that B is true. Sure I'll agree that many women will state they find foreskin unattractive because that is what they have been exposed to. Though thats not to say once women have experience their opinion will change.

That can be said for ANY non instinctual action. You could use that defacto argument to diffuse why I like the color red, or why I like the taste of a certain food. You can trace it anything back to societal and parental influences if you want. That doesn't prove much, thank you developmental psyche 301.

The "axe wound concept" was used because I was responding to Bryophyte's statement that the male genitalia isn't so pretty. It has nothing to do with my personal preference.
My initial point is that foreskin doesn't hold as much biological significance as we go along.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH

It's a classic. ;)

I've never had a girl complain. Sometimes they are curious because the truth is, most Americans are cut. I used to think I was abnormal because I was different from my dad and my friends, but I've come to be glad that my parents opted not to have it done. Any sons that I have down the road will most certainly not be cut.

As for the OP's friend, there is a big reason why they typically do it when you're a baby - so you cant remember the pain. Unless there is a problem, I'd just leave it. Be proud of who you are.
