Just curious as CC rings up promotional items differently than it used to;

Item #1: $100 retail
Item #2: $10 retail, comes with #1 for free

On the receipt, it shows the full price for item #2, but $90 for item #1.

If you return item #2, does #1 go back up?

I would think that they would make you return the promotional item with the main item or they might not let you return it at all since it is "incomplete".

But then again you may get some clueless schmuck that won't care.

Copied & pasted from the CC websites return policy info page:

Returns for promotional package items will only be accepted if all components of the promotional package are returned. Individual package components may be exchanged if defective.

It's called stealing if you don't return both items. The only reason you got the 2nd item free was because you purchased the first one. Return the first one, you should return the 2nd one :)

I've never returned anything like that at CC but at Best Buy, they asked for the promotional item when I returned an item.
