CircuitCity pricematch vs. Bestbuy....how do they work?......Want to get a TV....

Title says it all. CC has the TV for $1500 but BestBuy has it for $1300. Does CC do the %110 pricematch stuff still? What is the price I could expect to pay at CC?

Thanks a lot!

1) Grab the Best Buy ad, make sure your local Best Buy has the TV IN STOCK.

2) Go to Circuit City, buy the TV.

3) After buying the TV, walk to the customer service counter and request a price match against BB showing them the ad.

Why do you buy the TV first then PM? I'm glad you asked. If you buy the TV and show them the ad they will only PM 100%, if you PM AFTER the purchase you get 110% (10% back of the PM difference). At least this is how it worked last year.

Ross that's good info my man! So what's the price of the TV after the pricematch? Is it $1157?

Thanks again!

At my local CC apparently you have to prove to them the item is in stock, but they won't call to check. 😕

I work at CC, we call to check and see if its in stock and the price. As long as both those criteria are met we grab our manager and he price matches it 110%

$1500 CC price
$1300 BB price
$200 difference
10% off $200 is? You got it $20.

$200 + $20 = don't flow a fuse thinking of the answer.

Some employees are lazy... they wont call 🙁... some of them are lazy to my benefit... that they'll pretend theyre calling in the back and just PM it. 😀

hmm do you have a fry's near you?

My 52inch HDTV panasonic @ CC was $1699 and fry's were blowing them out for $1200

i got them to PM to 110% and got the TV for $1150 before taxes

$200 + $20 = don't flow a fuse thinking of the answer.

So CC price would be $1280? Not $1157 right?

I wish there was a Fry's near me but there isnt.

BTW the TV is an RCA 52 inch HDTV that was on sale last week for $1170 (I missed the sale!)

If you buy an RCA, get the extended warranty & in home service plan

just be patient and wait for a sale and the tv with the features that you want...it took me a month to decide what tv i wanted....drove my GF crazy cuz all i did was talk about tvs and drag her into stores

Thanks a lot you all. I will definitely need to learn about tvs before I make a purchase. I'm going to hold off until possibly a better brand is around this price.
