The following are free after rebates:

STI CDR8025 12.99 - 11.00 MIR = 1.99 exp 06/30/01
STI CDRW 4.99 - 7.00 MIR = -2.01 exp 06/30/01
STI CDRCLR5 4.95 - 5.00 MIR = -0.05 exp 07/31/01

You make .07 or .21 because you may rebate 3 per person.

The rebate forms are posted on the internet and YES they did print out at the register.

I have a plextor and an iomega (plextor) CDRW drive so there are no "BAD" media for me. 😀 Also, if you keep copies of your rebates and follow-up your chances of getting your rebates are greatly improved. I got mine. In addition, these rebates are being handled by the YOUNG AMERICA rebate center not by STI.

I got the letter for a prevous rebate problem from CircuitCity, saying the rebate was out-of-date, which was NOT true. I would NOT buy any rebate product from CC, and warn others about this trap.

Thanks! These are fine for my purposes. Ordered $59.71 with tax for pickup locally and rebates will be $58. That's 65 cd-r's and 15 cd-rw's for a total of $1.71 - I'll take it.

FYI -I've gotten all the CC rebates I've requested with no problems.

CC rebates are the best IMO.
i always get them on time or before stated time
this is my personal expereince.
if i had choice, i'd always buy free stuff from CC than Compusa
although CUSa is starting to get better (rebates)

As I recall, mine all stated 10 or 12 weeks. From my experience, if these are going to Young America, I would be really surprised it you had to wait the stated length of time.

I got some Pengo CD-RWs from NewEgg earlier this week, and they turned out to be made in Taiwan. Free shipping on them, too.

You guys might want to check that out if you don't want to buy expensive "free" CD-RWs.

Circuit City rebates do not go to Young America (don't I wish!), they go to Circuit City's own processing in Richmond, VA. The only CC related rebate I've had that went to Young America was a TDK rebate (the the CC piece went to Richmond).

<<Circuit City rebates do not go to Young America ...>>

The STI CD rebates do indeed go to Young America and the turn around is 8 weeks instead of the normal of 10-12 weeks from that center in Virginia

Just wanna add that my CC rebates have arrived within the stated time period on the rebate forms, and usually sooner!

OTOH: My rebate from EZonics for its crappy webcam has yet to arrive after 9 months and several "It'll be sent out next week" promises.

Fortunately, my EZonics purchase was with a Staples rebate, and it showed up in 2-3 months. My webcam purchase from CC was a D-Link, and the CC piece took 3 months and DLink took 4. I hate those damn split rebates. I am still waiting for my rebate from Northwestern Bell for their half of a free phone (which I didn't even need) from back in February).

For those who has the SONY DVP-530 DVD player, these Digital Media will allow you to copy VCD and music then play on your SONY player.🙂
